A Day at Middle School Camp
7:15 AM: Morning Bell
Rise & Shine! Time to get ready for the day.
8:00 AM: Breakfast
Meet us by the flagpole where we start the day with prayer, then dismiss to Denson Hall for breakfast (and coffee for our staff).
8:30 AM: Personal Quiet Time
Learning to set aside daily time to spend with God is important, and it starts at a young age. Our staff help set the example by utilizing this time with God, as well.
9:00 AM: Animal Show
Time to get up close and personal with Tennessee’s finest- owls, snakes, opossums… oh my!
Look, but don’t touch!
10 AM: Chapel
Our teaching pastor leads staff and campers through that week’s biblical narrative, and campers also get a chance to worship through music.
11 AM: Choose-Your-Own Electives
Campers get to customize their own electives schedule for each day. We have something for everyone! Pictured here are a few of our offerings: self-defense, basketball, soccer, archery, theater, tie dyeing, fire-pit cooking, and volleyball.
12 PM: Lunch
2:00 PM: Kayak Races
Teams race against each other in our kayaks to win points!
Campers are split into three teams for Middle School Week to encourage healthy competition and good sportsmanship: Panthers, Hawks, and Wolves. Teams earn points by winning games, participating in spirit days, and for random acts of kindness spotted by our staff.
1:00 PM: Laser Tag
It’s Laser Tag day! Campers race through our obstacle course to knock out members of the opposing team before time runs out.
We only host laser tag for middle school and high school camps.
5:00 PM: Water Slide & Canteen
Let’s finish up the day with a splash!
Canteen is also open to allow kids to purchase snacks and drinks.
6:00 PM: Dinner
8:30 PM: Night Hike
Campers take a hike across campus where they meet some interesting characters along the way.
Each stop tells a story tied into the week’s theme. Ever wondered what the lion keeper from the story of Daniel had to say? What about Boaz’s right-hand man in the story of Ruth?
9:30 PM: Devotions & Showers
Each cabin finishes the day with a staff-led devotion, prayer, and time for some Q&A with their counselors.
3:00 PM: Lake Time
Time to reapply the sunscreen. Campers can canoe, kayak, swim, fish, zip line, or explore the freshwater spring that serves as our namesake. Our lifeguards are on duty to make sure everyone stays safe.
7 PM: Seminar & Worship Through Music
Senior staff lead campers in a topical seminar that answers questions such as ‘how do I read the Bible?’ and ‘what is global missions?’. Our worship pastor leads the kids through a time of praising the Lord through song.
10:30 PM: Lights Out
See you in the morning!
